Trees on the Homestead: Tree ID walk on 40 acres

  • Holistic Survival School 38 McDaris Cove Road Weaverville, NC, 28787 United States (map)

Trees Trees Trees! This class is an exploration of the many ways in which trees have woven themselves into the fabric of everyday life on the homestead over time. On this tree walk, we will spend time identifying trees by name, range, ecological niche, role in succession, and tracking the innumerable ways in which trees express their unique personalities. With a deeper look at what makes each tree unique, we will then apply this knowledge to human habitation.
